5052 Aluminum, Alloy 5052H32 H34 Aluminum Sheet and Tube
5052 aluminum is an Al-Mg series aluminum alloy with medium strength, high fatigue strength and good plasticity, and is the most widely used anti-rust material. The role of chromium (Cr) in this alloy is similar to that of manganese (Mn), which improves the resistance to stress corrosion cracking, improves the strength of the base metal and the weld seam, and reduces the tendency of welding cracks. The main temper designs include Al 5052-H32, H34, H36, H38, O, etc. Sheet, plate and tube are the most popular products on the market. 5xxx series aluminium alloys are also called “marine grade aluminum”, and they have high corrosion resistance even in salty environments.
Magnesium and chromium are the main alloying elements in 5052 aluminium. This material cannot be strengthened by heat treatment but can be hardened by cold work. It has good plasticity during semi-cold work hardening, and low plasticity during cold work hardening; Machinability is not good.
The abbreviations AA5052 and Al-5052 in this article are the same material.

Aluminum 5052 H32 Mechanical Properties
Marine grade aluminum 5052 H32 mechanical properties are listed in the following tables including yield strength (yield stress), ultimate tensile strength, shear strength, modulus of elasticity, young’s modulus, etc.
There are no tensile requirements for materials in the “F” temper, but it is generally expected that materials with a thickness or diameter of 1 1/2 inches or less (except for sections with a width of more than 4 inches) will have a strength approximately equivalent to H14 or an H34 temper. As the size increases, the intensity decreases to close to that of the O temper.
